Thoughts on the premiere. Two and a half hours! Three runways The first episode was three runway shows in one, two of which happened back to back and were an occasion for the queens to show off various looks—lobster dress! The main challenge was to walk the runway in resort wear and then strip it off to reveal a nude body—well, a body made up to appear nude. Except, as the picture above shows, they were wearing flesh-colored underwear.
I thought producers had kicked off the series with a great start -all except for one shot. Was it really necessary to include a naked minor in a scene in The Philippines? The child was part of a crowd watching a street challenge, but was singled out, in close-up, simply because they were naked. I suspect if the situation were reversed and a close up of an Australian child splashing naked at the beach ended up in a scene on American television, parents would be duly upset. My view of Australian TV is that it is almost always crap, the result of operating in a sheltered workshop.
